From its humble beginnings in 1967, Oro China Jewelry has a proven track record of dedicated and passionate pursuit to what can now be considered the country’s prime jewelry store. The company was established  by Mr. Ng Han Hua (Chinese surname is Ty) and his wife,  Lucita Veloria. Mr. Ng is a native of Fukian, China who migrated to the Philippines with his father in 1957. After working with his father in jewelry manufacturing and having gained experience in jewelry retailing , Mr. Ng and his wife, Lucita,  migrated to Cebu and opened Oro China Jewelry.
Oro China (read as Oro Tsina) is derived from the Spanish word “oro” for gold; and “China”, from old conversational jewelry language, “chinahin”, or “chini-china ang ginto” or ‘to purify the gold’.  
As a pioneering jewelry company in Cebu, Oro China has lived up to its name, being the most preferred and trusted jewelry store today. Much of the company’s success is greatly attributed to the tried and tested traditional work values of hard work, honesty, integrity, empowerment and initiative instilled by the couple Ty Han Hua and Lucita Viloria to their children, Harry and Em-em. Adding force to the company is the very enterprising and indefatigable wife of Harry, Jennifer Que-Viloria. The power duo, Harry and Jennifer, boasts of their people whom they consider an extension to their family and for whom they take pride for being prime movers in the jewelry industry. .
